The Shore School’s Northbridge Pavilion & Tennis Complex is an award winning sporting facility built for the students sporting activities and to cater for school functions.
The quality of materials and workmanship have been carefully designed & constructed to provide an excellent sporting experience.
Some key features to the design are:
- Construction of a 2 storey soccer & tennis Pavilion with a spectator area holding 213 seats including a multipurpose room which holds 100 people viewing either the sporting fields or the Main Championship tennis court. This room is also used for school functions. A commercial kitchen, of ce, accessible toilet and store room are on Level 1 while change rooms, toilets, storage areas for soccer and tennis, cleaners room and a medical facility are situated on the ground floor.
- 9 new tennis courts including a championship size court with stadium viewing facilities
- A 3 Mega Litre Water Storage Tank and Water harvesting strategy including all the associated amenities, services and provisions. Water harvesting subsoil drainage collection from Playing Fields.
- The building achieved energy efficiency through the use of water efficient hydraulic fittings, energy efficient light fittings, provision of adequate insulation and performance glazing.
This project was the winner of the 2015 MBA Sports Facilities Award and Excellence in Resource Efficiency Award.
